I began to run, and found
myself training for a marathon one day! I completed 2
marathons and the feeling of accomplishment was amazing.
To set the goal to run 26.2 miles, to train for it, and
to finish the race was awesome…but there was still
something missing. I was never going to WIN a marathon.
I was not built to win 26-mile races!!
I decided to look for something else to do. Something
that I knew I could eventually win. I knew I was an athlete
and a fierce competitor, so I knew whatever it was that
I found was going to have to be intense. In the world
of fitness, all I knew about was bodybuilding and I knew
that that was not what I wanted to do, so I began to dig
a little deeper. What I found was that I had two options:
the fitness competitions that incorporate a routine or
the obstacle course competitions. I knew instantly that
I could be a success on the obstacle course, so I decided
to go for it! |
